يحل الأهلي ضيفا على صنداونز في الجولة الرابعة من دور المجموعات لدوري أبطال أفريقيا اليوم السبت على ستاد لوفتوس فيرسفيلد في جنوب إفريقيا، في مباراة نهارية غير معتادة بالنسبة للأهلي على الأقل خلال المنافسات المحلية .
واكتسبت مواجهات الأهلي وصنداونز قيمة كبيرة خلال السنوات الأخيرة بعدما أصبحت متكررة، حيث لعب الفريقان كل عام منذ 2019 وحتى الآن ضمن منافسات دوري أبطال أفريقيا.
على المستوى التاريخي، لعب الأهلي والفريق الجنوب إفريقيا 11 مباراة، كان الفوز في صالح بطل إفريقيا 5 مرات، ومرتين فقط من نصيب صنداونز.
لكن الأهلي يبحث عن ثأر جديد بعدما سقط حامل اللقب على أرضه أمام صنداونز ضمن الجولة الثالثة، ويأمل في رد الدين على أرض غريمه.
وخسر الأهلي أمام صنداونز بهدف نظيف في القاهرة، ليسوء موقفه في المجموعة بعدما أصبحت الصدارة في يد صنداونز بسبع نقاط، ومن بعدما الأهلي والهلال والمريخ بأربعة نقاط لكل منهما.
ويأتي لقاء الأهلي وصنداونز بعد أيام قليلة من تجديد عقد المدير الفني الجنوب إفريقي بيتسو موسيماني مع الفريق ليستمر حتى 2024.
تحدث موسيماني عن المباراة في المؤتمر الصحفي أمس الجمعة، قائلًا: “لا يجب أن نلعب أمام صنداونز بحماس كبير ولا يجب أن نلعب باهمال، البعض يسأل إن كنت قادم من أجل التعادل أو الفوز، لكن أنا أتيت من أجل الفوز وسنرى كيف ستكون أجواء المباراة”.
